EXPERIENCE

With 70 years experience in the automotive industry, I hold a valid OMVIC Dealers Licence, as well as belonging to UCDA.

My peers while a GM Dealer elected me as their area representative and eventually 1 of 12 representing all the GM dealers across Canada. This gave me great insight into the automotive industry at a different level.

KNOWLEDGE

I started full time at 16 years of age at my fathers Chrysler Dealership, and worked at every position from the lube rack to parts manager and service manager, eventually becoming sales manager after our father passed away in 1960.

In 1962 we swithced to Pontiac Buick Cadillac and I was a dealer principal up until 2011.

TRUST

I personally inspected each of these vehicles for my collection and/or possible resale.

Purchasing from us insures that upon the cars shipped arrival or personal inspection at our shop it will be just as described.

1318 ACTUAL MILES DRIVEN SINCE NEW!

Specs:

·         327 Cu. In. Straight 8 Engine

·         155 Horsepower

·         Ultramatic Transmission

·         127” Wheelbase

·         219.7” Length

·         4120 Pounds

·         8.00-15 General Whiteway Tires

Bought new by Meyer E. Ponteprino of Anaheim California in Dec of 1951. Purchased from Les Thompson's Packard dealership in Fullerton California. We have the thank-you letter from Earle C. Anthony Inc. of Los Angeles, who was the Packard distributor for all of California, thanking Mr. Ponteprino for his purchase.

Standard was Packard's EASAMATIC POWER BRAKES.

Total production of this model was 3795 units. Packard claimed in its ads that this was the "most luxurious car in the world."

One day Mr. Ponteprino left church on a Sunday morning to discover someone had broken the new power antenna off of his car. He was so horrified that any person would do that to his beloved new Packard, especially while at church, that he drove it home and put it up on blocks. The antenna was replaced, and he started cleaning the car regularly, but there it sat in his garage -- and when he passed away in 1997, his family still kept the car.

Amazingly, the Packard still has its original General Whiteway tires with the spare still new in the trunk. The jack is still in its box in the trunk as well.

The car's interior is absolutely like new. The chrome and stainless have held up well and the grille still has its coat of a gold-tinted spray-on called "defense chrome" - as chrome plating was limited in 1952 because of the Korean war. The all original black paint still has a great deep shine. The engine compartment has its expected surface patina which judges in a Preservation Class show appreciate. The car has its original issued California plates still on it.

The original brochure he got when looking at the car, owners guide, radio manual, and many more original pieces go with this car.

A car enthusiast purchased the car in 2016 from the family, and in 2021 he sold all his cars. When I heard of this one-of-a-kind Packard, I immediately purchased it.

The car starts easily. The transmission was smooth as silk when I drove it around the block from 1317 miles to its present 1318. The tires smoothed out some in that short run as well.

While it could easily be put back into use and driven, I feel it should go to someone as a rare piece of Packard History. There simply is no other Packard with this amazing history and low mileage.

Just look at these pictures- have you ever seen a more stunning looking ‘41 Cadillac convertible?

Specs:

  • 346 ci L-Head V8 Engine

  • 150 Horsepower

  • 4 Speed Hydra-Matic Transmission

  • 126” Wheelbase

  • 216” Length

  • 4100-4400 Pounds

  • 7.00X15 Whitewall Tires

Included with the car is a copy of its built sheet which shows it was a black car with tan top, and red leather interior just the way it is shown today.

These cars featured a very large domed hood with a distinctive large grille and side hood louvers. These pieces are perfect on this car, perhaps due to its California background.

Fully detailed trunk and engine compartment; working radio and clock, power antenna, and power top.  It has the rare back up light option. Also includes glove box paperwork.

The car has been driven 2994miles since its restoration. A previous owner states in a letter to me that he has owned and restored many Cadillacs and that this is the finest driving one he has ever owned.  He lives at Westlake Vaillages, just outside Los Angeles.

The restoration is still remarkable. The black paint gleams. The deep red interior is so luxurious, and the wood grained dash is striking.

This car qualifies as a true Classic car by the Classic Car Club of America, and is its most owned and sought after make and year.

The car is ready to drive and show at the most prestigious of events. Total production: 3100.
